This detached cottage is situated in what was once the kitchen garden of the new Harbottle Castle (the big house down the lane) and was originally the potting shed alongside the old vine and peach house.
It is small but its character has been preserved during the conversion and much thought has gone into making it into a comfortable holiday cottage for one or two guests.
The Potting Shed is in The Northumberland National Park, and Harbotle is centrally placed for Hadrians Wall, Cragside, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, The Aln Valley Railway and the beautiful Coast, The Cheviot Hills and Newcastle. Not to mention the famous Barter Books in Alnwick
There is a living / kitchen / dining room with steep steps up to a small loft in the roof space which is carpeted, with floor cushions. Please note there is only room to sit up here.
The kitchen and appliances are new with an electric cooker, microwave oven, ceramic hob for cooking and a fridge, washing machine, electric toaster and kettle.
Through to a separate room from the living area is a small bedroom with double bed and wardrobe and separate en suite shower room.
There is a small patio with garden furniture and there is parking for one car.
