This detached cottage is situated in what was once the kitchen garden of the new Harbottle Castle (the big house down the lane) and was originally the potting shed alongside the old vine and peach house.

Set well back from the village street the cottage is up a few steps in the large private back garden of the owners of Windley where the peace of the countryside prevails.

It is small but its character has been preserved during the conversion and much thought has gone into making it into a comfortable holiday cottage for two people.

There is a living / kitchen / dining room with steep steps up to a small loft in the galleried roof space where there are a couple of floor cushions. Please note there is only room to sit up here.

The kitchen has a combination microwave oven and ceramic hob for cooking and the usual fridge, electric toaster and kettle.
The living area has an open fire, 32" Flat screen TV (free Sky channels) and a DVD player

Through to a separate room from the living area is a small bedroom with double bed and wardrobe and separate en suite shower room.
All bed linen and towels are included along with electricity and coal for the fire. There are also night storage heaters and heated towel rail. We include a complimentary breakfast for 2 from our local award winning Rothbury Family Butchers.

There is a patio with garden furniture and there is parking for one car.
